These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at sitematestudio.com (the "Site") and any web design, development, hosting and related services we provide (the "Services"). By using the Site or engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who we are
Sitemate Studio ("we", "us", "our") is a trading name used by an individual operating from England, United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@sitematestudio.com.
2. Free homepage demo
We offer a free homepage design ("Demo") for prospective clients. You are under no obligation to purchase any Service after receiving the Demo. If you choose to proceed, the full project will be governed by a separate quote or order confirmation, alongside these Terms.
3. Our services
- Design and build of websites for local businesses.
- Hosting, maintenance and content updates as described in your chosen plan.
- Optional admin dashboards for managing services, products and enquiries.
We use trusted third-party providers for hosting, content management, databases, email delivery, analytics, and related infrastructure. While we aim to provide a reliable service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available operation of services that depend on third-party platforms or internet infrastructure.
4. Fees and payment
All projects require a one-time setup fee confirmed in writing before work begins. Where a monthly maintenance plan is taken, fees are billed in advance each month and cover website hosting, minor content updates, and support. Monthly fees are non-refundable once the billing period has started. Late payment may result in suspension of the service until any outstanding balance is settled. Third-party tool costs are either included in your monthly fee or passed through at cost — this will be confirmed in writing before any tools are set up.
5. Third-party services
Domain registration, email hosting and any third-party tools are paid separately by you and remain in your name and ownership. We can help you set these up, but we are not responsible for outages, pricing changes or policies of those providers.
6. Intellectual property
Once final payment for a project has cleared, you own the rights to the design and content of your finished website (excluding any third-party assets, fonts, plugins or stock imagery). We reserve the right to reference completed work as a portfolio piece unless we agree otherwise in writing.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and timely feedback during the project.
- Ensure you have the rights to any content (text, images, logos) you supply.
- Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and not for unlawful purposes.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel a monthly plan at any time by providing 30 days written notice via email to hello@sitematestudio.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of the notice period. We do not offer refunds for partial months already billed. Upon cancellation, we will provide reasonable assistance to transfer your website and accounts to you or another provider within 14 days.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site or Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Scope of work
The scope of each project will be agreed in writing before work begins. Minor content updates are included. Larger changes or new features may require additional fees.
13. Timelines
Estimated delivery times are 2–3 weeks from the date all required content has been received from the client, including logos, images, copy and any login credentials. Timelines are estimates only and may vary depending on project complexity, client feedback response times, and third-party service availability. Delays caused by late provision of content, approvals or feedback by the client are not the responsibility of Sitemate Studio and will extend the delivery date accordingly.
14. Termination by us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Services at any time if you breach these Terms, fail to make payment, or use the Service in a way that is unlawful or harmful.
15. No guarantees
While we aim to improve your online presence, we do not guarantee specific results such as search rankings, traffic levels or customer enquiries.
16. Hosting & third-party services
We may use trusted third-party providers for website hosting, content management, databases, email delivery, and related infrastructure services where required. These third-party services operate under their own terms, pricing, policies, and availability, which are outside our control. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes to hosting or infrastructure arrangements that may affect your website or services. Upon cancellation of a monthly plan, hosting and any related services will remain active only for the duration of the applicable notice period.
